How it works

Patented technology for stunning results

The color is based on the principle of coloring by interference. When rays of the sunlight is split like through a prism, the light, which the solar cell needs to generate energy, passes through the colored layer.

Only those wavelengths which produce the color are being selected. The result is an individual color with minimal loss of the solar modules performance.

Colors in the RGB spectrum, depending on glass and color, have an efficiency of 90-95%, outside the RGB color palette, depending on glass and color, an efficiency of 80-98%

Percentage of efficiency in relation to a non-colored module. Exact efficiency depends significantly on the selected glass and the color.
Efficiencies are very dependent on the pv--module structure.

SpriColor-PV turns photovoltaics into a chameleon

SpriColor-PV offers almost endless possibilities.

With SpriColor-PV photovoltaic turns into a chameleon.
A chameleon adapts its colors to its surroundings – just like SpriColor-PV by Sprinz. In addition to camouflage, this lizard uses color to communicate. This creates colorful patterns and gradients. Make use of this possibility for your project for example by printing your logo or pictures onto the photovoltaic modules.

Besides colors SpriColor-PV glass is printable with designs and motifs. For example, it is possible to give your facade, balcony railing, roof etc. a custom concrete or wooden look.
Also, rock pattern can be printed showcasing a marble or slab stone look.

Your photovoltaic module adapts to your desires.

Characteristics of SpriColor-PV:

  • Burned in standard ESG/TVG process
  • High chemical and mechanical resistance
  • Suitable to be further processed in VSG
  • Suitable for photovoltaic panels on facades and on rooftops – also for protected monument buildings

  • What is SpriColor-PV?

    SpriColor-PV is a patented printing process, which makes it possible to design highly efficient solar panels in almost every shade of color.

    SpriColor-PV can be adapted harmoniously and aesthetically into the architecture of a building - just as your liking.

  • How does SpriColor-PV work?

    Only those wavelengths which produce the color are being selectively reflected. The result is an individual color with solar modules performing highly efficient.

  • Does the printing reduce the efficiency?

    A main advantage of SpriColor-PV is the high efficiency, which has been confirmed in a study by the Fraunhofer institute in 2023.

  • What colors and pattern are available for printing?

    Colors and pattern are customisable to your liking. The possibilities are countless.

  • Did you know?... Bird protection

    Experts estimate that around 100 million birds die each year in Germany because they are unable to recognize glass panels and fly into the facades of buildings. Rarely noticeable by humans, as fox, marten, cat and crow quickly eat the deceased animals – the unreported number is very high. As a result, during breeding season the offspring starves to death in it's nest. With the use of semi transparent or matted glass we offer innovative and aesthetic solutions to protect our feathered friends.
